The voter-first network

Built around the voters, not the parties.

Hey Voter is on a mission to put voters back at the center of democracy: to help every one of us understand the values we share, and start closing the divides that politics keeps widening.

Politics keeps pulling us apart

The loudest voices set the terms, and the rest of us learn to keep quiet. Talking politics has become something we avoid, which leaves us assuming the worst about each other and never finding out we were wrong.

More in Common, Hidden Tribes

We are not apathetic. We have been handed a politics that pays off division and leaves everything we share unsaid.

Our mission

Put voters back at the center of democracy

Not just some voters, and not just the middle. Every voter.

Hey Voter exists to give voters their voice back. It starts from where we agree, grounded in the priorities we share, and turns the attention away from the parties and back to the people they are meant to represent.

And we are building it for participation, not just to be followed, and for engagement throughout the whole cycle between election days. We are focusing on the stats and the record over the rhetoric, and making information as clear and engaging as the coverage we already follow. We are building Hey Voter to be a thriving platform to support the mission and make it last.

How it works

Your values, and where they match

Every profile is drawn on the same values, starting from you at the center: how far your Care, sense of Time, Fairness, and Reach extend. Lay any two profiles over each other and the shared area is your common ground, measured rather than assumed.

Turning the attention back to you, to give you your voice back.

Making it normal again to talk about what matters to us.

Non-partisan by design

No side to land on and no right answer. Every voter and every value is treated as legitimate, with no red or blue baked in.

Built to last

Always on in the long stretches between elections, not just when the ads are loud. Civic life is more than a ballot every few years.

Grounded in facts

Voting records, positions, and stats you can check for yourself, presented straight rather than spun.

Built around you

Organized around the individual voter and what you value, not a party, a donor, or an institution.
